Hello whalewatchers: What an awesome day in Laguna San Ignacio! Great conditions with light winds and sunny skies. As we entered the lagoon we had to travel slow and carefully avoid all the cows and calves. There were a lot of whales in the entrance.
On the first panga trip it didn’t take long for the group to have a close encounter with a gray whale cow and calf. Everyone came back in awe after their first experience here.
During our first break we had a cow and calf at Searcher and is still here after an hour. Today’s photo is of the cow and calf with a panga and people on the deck. It doesn’t get much better here.
