Hello whalewatchers: We are enjoying calm ocean here today and there are some whales around too! We started our morning off watching a tail lobbing humpback, then moved onto another group where we were lucky enough to get a view of a double breach–side by side!
We had a nice look at a red-billed tropic bird sitting on the water, and a few bottlenose dolphins too. We’re going ashore this afternoon for a little hike and a swim to cool off afterwards.
Frigatebirds found a good spot to rest aboard Searcher today!
We had a great afternoon today at Los Frailes. But just before we got there, we watched three humpbacks fluking and one jumped right in front of us! It was amazing. Those that chose to go for a swim enjoyed cooling off after a warm day. We’re headed up into the gulf with very nice weather tonight. Wish us luck tomorrow.
