Rob Nawojchik
Rob received a B.S. in biology from Cornell University and an M.S. in systematic ichthyology from the University of Washington. For 14 years, he was the Staff Biologist at the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut where he coordinated the marine mammal and sea turtle stranding program. Following his work at the aquarium, Rob was a Senior Marine Biologist at an environmental consulting firm in Texas. For the past decade, he has lived in the Upper Valley of Vermont and works at many free-lance projects including teaching college courses.
Rob leads several trips each year aboard Searcher to Baja California where he entertains (with puns a’plenty) and educates our guests about Baja’s wildlife. He also writes a regular series titled “Rob-servations” about the variety of marine mammals seen on our tours.
Rob was stupendous–fount of knowledge and enthusiastic! —Searcher passenger, February 2019
